Happy International Women’s Day!

Monday, March 8th, 2010

The very reason that we have March 8th marked as International Women Day is that women have not been regarded as equal to the opposite gender!

Believe it or not, I grew up in red China being told ‘women hold half of the sky’ or 妇女半边天。It hadn’t occurred to me that it’s not actually how most of the world looks at us until one day I received an email written by a female secretary that addressed the entire leadership team as ‘Dear gentlemen’. A wake-up call. We’ve got much work to do before we truly hold half of the sky’.

It’s an international women’s day today, it should be a No Pink Phone day too!

No pink phones - a new twist on technology for women

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

I’m very pleased to see other link-minded women who left comments at Holly’s blog post.

I had much inspiration from Holly’s earlier blogs where she shared her insights on what we women want from the technology and how we react to the current tech consumer scene.

It’s simply great with the internet and etc, we’ve got a border-less one world, just like what Friedman discussed in his book ‘The World if Flat’. One can connect with people in every corner of the world. (This fits perfect with my citizen of the world identify!!)

Now that we’ve got such a nice world stage set up for us, why don’t we get the global No Pink phone movement going!
